Spiced Pear Breakfast Sausage




Let's be real: a sweet/savory moment is never a bad idea for breakfast. These super easy sausage patties will not only save you money and time, but they will warm your belly and soul. Keep in the fridge for the week, or stack between parchment paper and freeze. Make sure to use lean ground pork...too much fat will yield a wet, messy result.


Ingredients:


1 lb lean ground pork

1 cup finely diced pear

1 tsp salt

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp ground ginger

1/2 tsp clove

1/2 tsp nutmeg

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp cooking oil or ghee


Combine all ingredients (except oil/ghee) in a bowl. Form 8 equal size patties and place on parchment paper. Heat oil or ghee over medium high heat and pan fry patties in batches for about 4 minutes each side or until no longer pink.
